[Open] Market - Morning
Date: Beltaine | 25th of Crann | 1722 ATA |
Time of Day: 0900
Weather: Clear
Location: Market
---

The place within the market was a busy one at that, and Garik found himself within the simple dress of his workings of bronze layered with leather and a thick undershirt. It was a cloudy day, and the three other men with him and the cloth-covered wagon rumbled gently with heads and shoulders above their counterparts within the city. Within the wagon, Adea was leaning back and giving a last inspection of the stone-based craft within the wagon as well as their currency. The last thing they needed was to have some of their iron marks setting into the city.

Adea peeked out from the wagon front door briefly to call out. "Check on the fish stocks here! I wanna see if they have any pike for sale!" There was a quip about Swann trout, but Garik for the most part had been off to the side, enjoying the sides and sounds.

"Alright." He noted, passing by another of the sidhe-or rather them melting away at their presence. Aesir being naturally large, they of Jotunland specialized on it. His thoughts trailed also perhaps to the weapons market...honestly, while he wished for his own heavier metals, there was customs to respect when they weren't at war with them.

RE: [Open] Market - Morning
The Bright Market was a riot of colour and noise, filled with Sidhe - merchants and customers alike - of many different stripes, and the various colours are something to behold, especially of the Sidhe themselves... Greens and golds, blacks and whites, silvers and reds, browns and streaks of blues and reds and violets, and that all in but their hair alone. ( All far easier to see when you're head and shoulders above the crowd. )

Further into the market, a woman with a shock of brilliant red hair plied her trade, voice ringing out with practice and confidence, advertising her wares ( well, those appropriate for the bright market, anyway ) with a broad, easy smile, coaxing in passerby in order to enchant them with stories of the items themselves - some imported, some simply of fascinating craftsmanship. She laughed, as one young Sidhe, clearly not too long out of Acadamh, huffed and asked a pointed question. It was a moment before she flipped up one of the daggers from her table with nimble fingers, and finding the balance point on the blade so that it remained level upon a fingertip, grinned wolfishly across the level blade at the young fellow. "Perfectly balanced, actually, I take care to ensure that all of the wares I bring to market are of the utmost quality - and I'm more than happy to prove it."

RE: [Open] Market - Morning
Meanwhile, a younger, but taller Sidhe leaned on the edge of the stall, watched her mother ply her trade with a sleepy look, slowly pulled a roasted (and honeyed) berry from a little wooden stick, a purchase from another nearby stall, with two more sticks carefully held between her knuckles, the girl having not yet noticed the slow, steady slide of honey towards her hand, even as she turned her gaze away from her elder.

It was always nice to be home.

Strange, now and then, especially to watch her mother while she was hard at work...

But nice.

She'd missed the docks a good deal, and had already snuck off to visit her grandfather the night before - reason enough for her to be tired this morning.

Addnag stifled another yawn as she turned to look about the market once more, examined the crowd, and watched idly as a fair chunk parted to make way for a group of Aesir - common enough sight, all things considered, what with the presence of the foreign district, but... Some people apparently took a good deal more time to adapt than others.

RE: [Open] Market - Morning
With the efforts explained and coin divided, Adea shooed off her minions amongst the market before popping out to stand beside Garik. Garik himself crossed his arms, looking amongst the stands and spotting the sleepy little sea rose that had been assisting them, along with her devious little mother selling her wares. Garik stepped to the stall, eyeing the several items before smiling wryly and ruffling Addnag's hair."Well a good morn, how goes things?" He asked.

RE: [Open] Market - Morning
Blair glances up, grinning broadly as the mouthy fellow before her turns, puffed up and pompous, clearly planning to tell off whomever interrupted him, then wilts as his head is forced to tilt back to finally catch sight of the Aesir's face. He snaps his mouth shut and turns back around, clearly a little shaky and wide-eyed. (Although, as he turns the woman mouths "baby noble" up at the Aesir, smirking. )

His companion is less scared, and stares unabashedly up at Garik.

"Oh, they go, they go. The morning's quite busy, so far, what of yours?"

The girl doesn't seem to register recognition for a few moments, but carefully straightens up as the identity of the approaching Aesir finally clicks, waving with the hand holding her over-sweet breakfast. "G'morn."

She ducks her head, pouting slightly as her hair is mussed up, and shakes herself to try and right it, hands too sticky to make a proper attempt with her fingers without risking making just that much more of a mess.

RE: [Open] Market - Morning
"It is something of an excursion into the city to see for different vendors and customers perhaps. Though by that our swords might be of more value in the work we craft or the stone we travel with." He nodded. "Give it time, I am sure those we will begin to know outside the foreign District will grow a bit, once they get used to our size." He stands up next to the stall however, looking over several of the items with an expression of a man bending metal as if to check strength through his eyes.

A comb made from bone appears in Adea's hand, offering to comb out her brother's pillaging of Addnag's hair. If so she'll get to work smoothing out her bangs.

"We'll see what else comes of it too-our men are competent enough, but I won't be a nary surprised if we find at least one in the depths of some strange brew in this market or a tavern close by." She giggled, then rocked on her heels.

RE: [Open] Market - Morning
"If you'd like a recommendation, the Rockskipper, in the ballydocks, is a good place to start." Blair grinned, all teeth, hand raising to push a lock of red hair back behind her ear. "No one much cares who you were - well, at least when it comes to class. Even the High Queen managed to drink there, in her reign, without bother."

The easy, amused curve of her mouth clearly belied the fact there was far more to the statement than that, but she breezes on anyway. "A few other Aesir have dropped by, now and then, so I'm certain that your company wouldn't cause too great a stir."

RE: [Open] Market - Morning
The man next to Blair's stall cringes away a touch, though his companion continues to stare.

Addnag raised a hand and offered a stick of fruit and honey in return for the Adea's unspoken offer, slid another piece off of the one she'd been slowly consuming with her teeth and ducked her head ( well, moved sideways to close the gap, anyway, lowering her head wouldn't do overmuch, considering the difference in height. ) "You're exploring the market? That's always fun... there's someone mulling fruit wine, or they were yesterday. I'm not sure if they're out..."

She glanced over at her mother, blank white eyes uncertain. "Do we have an extra stall open today?"
