THE SOUL
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Race: Aesir
Class: Huscarl of the Ironswift Warband of the Gullgarder.
Tribe: Jotunland
Clan: Heimdallingar
Political Status: Ironswift Expanded Efforts
Occupation: Head Craftsman, Retainer.
Magic Experience: Adept 2: Rune Talismans and Wards.
Combat / Magic: Wieldy with sword and shield if need be, runic magic is the preferred combat edge. An adept pole-arm user. Unwieldy with a one-handed axe and long ranged weapons like bows (accuracy is fine, but other issues come in.)
Hammer of the Ever-Living Forge [To Be Made]: Can meld cold metals as if hot in the fire, and set things ablaze with focused effort.

His armor for combat, should it come to that is a brigandine armor under a solid breastplate, covering for arms, neck and chest armor. Shins would be covered by rolls of leather on an iron 'grille' and toe guard metal caps along with an open-faced helm with nose guard.

Weapons and Armor: When in sidhe lands they are armed on person with bronze armor and iron weapons clad in lead-leather sheaths. Iron armor is kept in storage near their persons.

THE BODY

The concept of Garik is a simple but large man. Standing at 9'3" he is on the taller side of the Aesir people, even in the land of the Jotun. With short dark brown almost black hair and a well kept short beard, He has given to firm muscles and several scars and burns along his arms and hands learning and mastering his craft. When at his craft he wears several dull and resilient leathers with heavy treated linen, while at casualness he wears a long-sleeved tunic, a thick copper adorned leather belt, thick wool leggings and arm guards built of metal curved bands, ending at the end with a plate top meant to carve in a single rune (unadorned.) His boots in either outfit are a pair of doe boots with a leather reinforcement about the shin and toe of the boot.

His armor for combat, should it come to that is a brigandine armor under a solid breastplate, covering for arms, neck and chest armor. Shins would be covered by rolls of leather on an iron 'grille' and toe guard metal caps along with an open-faced helm with nose guard.

Otherwise for notable distinctions is his eyes-while they are as sharp as any man's, they seem to be slower in adjusting from light to dark.

THE MIND
Very blunt and straightforward, the man is observant to some degree but not too savvy with words. Someone with a silver tongue won't dance around him, but his sense of humor is flat in some areas to miss sarcasm or sardonic wit.

His intelligence brings forth with it coming of a man focused on his craft and of the books, and less of the adventuring man. His wisdom can be innovative if quirky sometimes, but has yet not started too many problems for him and his family. His learning of the languages like his siblings was at a young age, learning to be fluent in the trade language by the age of sixteen.

A lot of his father's teachings he himself holds to heart, and those who might wish of ill or make ill of Garik or his family may find a short tempered man with fist next to them or on them depending on the severity of the insult. His words can be pleasant minded however in a good mood, and his choice of vice is more common to an earthly man.
THE PAST
Garik was the first son of four siblings, born to an ambitious father and a scholarly mother. Their home was in the Jotunland, where already a homestead of stone, fire and rune had been built at the base of a holy mountain dedicated to Odin Thunderwalker. To study several of the creatures within the wilds, as well as having warriors locally test their weapons and arms in their drills and combat for the ever-constant competition of technology's edge, they worked and hammered their efforts into their thirties. When they decided finally to settle down, they gave into their skills to pass on to their children as well as their experience.

Garik's childhood was well disciplined and structured by most standards. Taught in schooling and using a small hammer as a plaything (made of wood) he as the eldest took on his responsibilities quite well, and as an older brother to his younger siblings attempted (relatively amusingly) at his young age to pass on his early observances of hot things (ow) and other sudden wisdoms.

As he and his siblings became older, each had drawn into their own accord-he himself took up his father's craft as Henrin took upon himself and several other crafters and warriors around to apply to their Jarl for recognition as a fledgling warband. The second eldest, his sister, was the most skilled at the blade and thus became both the applicator to their tools and hardiest of the lot. The third, his brother, took up the scholarly ways of their mother, and assisted in the documentation and creation of parchment to use as well as ink from ore. The youngest, another sister, found her mind to be attuned more to the strange matters of the south in more trade and culture-something that later on in her life would have her explore the world and come back with new ideas to expand on for the family's own use.

In his teens and his age of majority rites came upon him, he wished to seek out his first rune, to carve his name upon the flow of fate. He brought it forth with his father and after several discussions and lessons upon word and instruction had him attempt upon the basics of the runic magic his father had obtained. His destruction rune shattered, his hands not meant it seemed to create that which was it's sole purpose to destroy. To refine and fortify, he did somewhat better-the rune held, and while a spark was here and there, it had held. What had been his presentation to the men of the rites ceremony was of the rune of Manaaz upon the center of a full helmet, to which as he offered as a gift to the gods to bless him with the awareness and mental strength needed for both his craft and for in knowing his fellow people.

At the age of twenty-four his father received word his warband had indeed been observed as one, abet it was a small one. but as all things are with the support of a Holder his father planned for greater things yet. However at the celebrations the days after his father was rarely seen-his children and wife saw to the needs of the new brotherhood while he toiled at scores of granite rock, searching for something but unknown to what it was.

Two years into this, his father now in his late fifties now appeared finally from his workshop. His face and body however had taken upon itself however looking nearly three decades older, something that surprised everyone that not a day before had seen him. Taking his family, he rested upon the staff he had made for himself, leading them inside the building to which he had toiled in secret, to reveal his ultimate work. It was Kairn, standing like a titan itself as it stood watch, life breathed into the very earth itself, and with some of his father's life as well it seems for it's cost.

The revelation to the rest of the warband had been astounding. Their founder had done with which been a fight with fate itself to create something akin to life, and for nearly his life taken had succeeded. It brought forth a fire in the eyes of his fellow crafters, but at the thought of building of more golems, or how they were produced, Henrin LifeHammer now named by his fellows had denied of his knowledge He warned of the cost, the subtitles, and of the risks with it. He himself felt the years already, and did not expect to live the next decade out if the cost was too deep.

And so the years past onward, till at the age of twenty eight his youngest sister, Adea Wander-kin, had prevailed upon her brother to take up several of the men and women and establish a enclave within Cels to the south. There, she had said, were the dwarves and other beings whose metal crafts may bring further inspiration for the Warband of Ironswift. Their travel south was wicked, danger lurking through their own lands as they passed through blood feuds of the other holds. But, as fate would have it, they would eventually make it to the Cels lands, near the hilly shoreline northwest of their capital. There, using his sister as a translator, they acquired with their brought over funds some of the land, and dug into the earth-building and carving stone to dirt to create the enclave fortified settlement it is now.
Here, is where their story begins.
