The Bear and the Maiden Fair. [Aisling]
Date: Beltaine | 30 Crann | 1722 ATA
Time of Day: Mid-morning.
Weather: Cloudy, might rain soon.
Location: The bright market.
---

He was standing there, leaned on the wall, chewing on a stray of wheat, his sly look was constantly scanning the woman in front of him. He's caught his eye on this lass ever since he was her in the tourney not a week ago. The son of Nemain was looking at the girl, yes although her entourage was built out of four armed men, he could easily see her between them, oh how she shined in the sunlight. Strykárr was amazed by the woman, all he wanted was for her to notice him and that he could just step up, and steal her away from her guards for only several moments. She was all that was in his head for the last couple of days and it was driving the Laoch mad, he kept his calm though, patience was a virtue after all.

RE: The Bear and the Maiden Fair. [Aisling]
It wasn't exactly a nice day, but Aisling had still wanted to go out. She had nothing to keep her interested back at the Compound and the less time she spent feeling like she was a caged bird, the better. Sure, the small woman who was today dressed in a soft lilac dress was still surrounded by a bunch of escorts, all of whom wouldn't leave her side let alone let her out of their sight at any point. She supposed she could deal with that. It wasn't as though they hindered her progress through the market as she moved from stall to stall -- more like they just kept an eye on the vicinity and made sure no one else went near her.

For the moment Aisling was paused by a stall where a woman was trying to convince her to buy some of her silks. Admittedly, they were very nice and Aisling might be tempted, though she wasn't going to have a close look at them just yet sue to the skewer she currently held with the honeyed fruits that one of the stalls in the market was famous for. She finished the skewer and handed the empty stick to one of the guards and then wiped her hands on a handkerchief before she leaned over the stall with its wares and inspected the garments.

It was while she was fingering a lovely looking robe that there were a few shouts nearby, and Aisling's gaze shifted to the distance, where it seemed a small dispute had broken out. The guards immediately moved to keep her protected on that side from whatever was going on, despite it not even being close to where she was -- not that she could really see now since her view was blocked. She sighed and shook her head, returning to her browsing.

Strykárr always loved the fact that the city was constantly on the move, he usually hated such crowded places, the cities mostly, with their politics and their corruptions, but still the only reason he enjoyed the moment was because the city was rumbling. Men and women were rushing to look at the dispute that most likely will soon turn into a fight. The sly Laoch took the moment, he quickly passed through the lot of people who started forward, moving in between them, and in a manner of moments he stood not an arm's length away from the Silver Lady. His mischievous grin might have said it all. He winked at her, pressed a finger against his lips, signaling for silence, 'Shhh' and took her by the arm gently, not forcefully, a bit away from her entourage to a quieter place where they might actually converse for the first time.

RE: The Bear and the Maiden Fair. [Aisling]
Aisling wanted to ask about one of the items she was inspecting, but it seemed that even the stall owner was distracted by whatever dispute was going on. It had grown louder and she wondered if it had moved closer to where they were, partially because of the movements of her guards, as though there was a potential danger toward her there. The woman sighed and fingered the fabric lightly and was about to clear her throat to get the vendor's attention when she sensed someone near her and turned her head to blink at the redhaired man who was grinning at her.

The woman tilted her head at him as he signalled for her to be quiet, confused as to his actions, but then her eyes widened as he clasped her arm and began to tug her away from her entourage. She opened her mouth to protest, but then bit her lip -- she didn't want to be the cause of another fight, the guards would kill him. Still, she stole a glance back at them just before they were out of her sight, and was suddenly even more concerned. It wasn't until she'd been taken to what appeared to be a small hidden alcove that she spoke.

"I, uh..." So what did a Lady say to a man who'd just basically kidnapped her, "Can I help you? Why did you do that? My escorts will kill you if they find you've taken me away. I should return." Aisling's voice was tight and a little shaky. She thought that this man looked at least somewhat familiar, but she was having difficulty placing where she knew him from, or why he would steal her away from her guards. She felt very uneasy and kept looking back toward where they'd come from, "Please, I do not want any trouble, but I will call for them if I need to."

RE: The Bear and the Maiden Fair. [Aisling]
The man was going to burst from laughter, the scene was looking like something that was utterly different in any aspect of life, Strykárr wouldn't have meant to rape the lass, not on his life. His scanning vision took it all in, the frame of her, her features and her suspicious and scared expression, his grin was cut through a hearty chuckle. He quickly went to his left arm to open the laces to his arm bracers, he lightly removed it to show a particular tattoo that was marked this man as a Laoch, and this very mark, was marked with a raven, signaling his Clann. He quickly laced the bracer back and stepped back, not to intrude too much into her personal space(He already broke that with taking her by the arm didn't he?).

Strykárr held his arms wide in a signal of defeat, "Don' worry lassie, I ain't 'ere ta' molest ye' or whatever yer' thinkin', just ta' talk. An don'a be worryin'. I could kill those four guards o' yers without too much o' a problem." He smirked at his remark with enough confidence to show it was indeed true. Holding his hands onto his belt he cocked his head at her.

RE: The Bear and the Maiden Fair. [Aisling]
The sudden laughing from the man caused Aisling to jump slightly before she gave him a quizzical expression, though her cheeks turned slightly pink as he scanned her over, wondering if perhaps she should have already been calling for her escorts. The tattoo that was revealed didn't really make her feel much easier either -- he was a Laoch of Clann Raven. And Manius was not exactly a fan of their Chieftain (of course, Manius wasn't a fan of many of the other Chieftains anyway). At least he gave her some room though.

"Look, I don't know what you wish from me..." Aisling started, but quieted a little when he tried to assure her that he had no ill intentions, apparently only wanting to talk. But what on earth would he want to talk with her about? What it a message or something that he wished to pass to her Chieftain? It was possible, but why not simply give it to Manius' Laoch or something? This was all rather odd and she was feeling uneasy still -- especially when he was talking about killing her guards.

"Well, what is it that you wish to tell me? Manius would not be happy that I was used to pass a message, but if its important then it may be forgiven," Rubbing one of her arms, Aisling was backed against a wall, glancing around nervously as she spoke. Perhaps this could be overlooked. Maybe. Probably not. The escorts were already going to feel her Chieftain's wrath once he found out about this.

RE: The Bear and the Maiden Fair. [Aisling]
"Manius?" The confused Laoch stared at Aisling with one brow rising slowly. "What do ye' ave' ta' do with Manius?" he poked her head a bit closer to her face, but not too closely. "The name's Strykárr, we 'aven't been properly introduced ye' see. Ó Nemain-Mór. I've armmm.." He coughs lightly and starts to blush, "Seen ye' around the tourney grounds....Ermm." He tried to cover his confusion and embarrassment. He eyed the woman, and glanced back at her guards to make sure they haven't noticed him yet.

"All I want is ta' get to know ye' woman!" He said bluntly, rising his arms in confirmation. He quickly lowered his visage and gaze, not understanding what this woman had to do with Manius...was this his daughter? Or some Lady? Why the feck did she had an escort?

RE: The Bear and the Maiden Fair. [Aisling]
"What do you mean, what do I have to do with Manius?" Aisling felt just as confused as the Laoch seemed to appear. Didn't he have any idea who she was at all? Not that she was an egotistical sort, but it seemed to be some kind of knowledge that the fact that she was guarded by Manius' men meant that she was someone who was clearly important to the Sea Dragan Chieftain. "He... is my guardian," Aisling said by way of explanation, accompanied by a small shrug before she bit her lip and glanced around, wondering if the escorts had noticed her disappearance yet.

"Um..." The silver woman wasn't sure what to make of the man who introduced himself as Strykarr, though she'd already guessed that he was probably Nemain, simply by the fiery red hair he had. She blinked as he mentioned the tournament from the other week though and realised that was probably where she thought she had seen him before, "Oh, well there were a lot of people there that day..." She began to say before she was cut off and jumped as the man rose his voice, practically yelling at her.

"You don't need to yell," Aisling said quietly, though was pressed back against the wall behind her, just a little intimidated by the sudden outburst. "I'm sorry, I just... I'm not exactly used to being pulled away from my guards, and if they discover I'm missing then it won't just be you who gets in trouble..." She bit her lip lightly, though sudden shouts from where she'd been earlier reached her ears and she froze.

"I think they noticed..." Aisling said quietly, unsure what to do now.

RE: The Bear and the Maiden Fair. [Aisling]
He was still really entertained by the whole situation, his amused sly smile still crossed his face, even when he burst. He understood that she was a character of some importance to that big oaf Manius, but he didn't know what she exactly was to him yet. He scratches the back of his head in embarrassment and fingered one of his braids. His eyes were filled with something more then curiosity and mischievous intent. He leaned in closer, put a gentle but firm hand on the back of her head and gently kissed her forehead.

"I intent to find out who ye' actually are, not what yer title says. There's more ta' ye' lady then blood." He said pulling back, a bit caught back by his own actions, his cheeks were almost as red as his hair and his eyes turned into a flaming gold. "I'll.....eh.." He seemed to lack the proper words to actually address her as it seems, "I'll meet ye' here again in an hour?"

RE: The Bear and the Maiden Fair. [Aisling]
Honestly, the silver woman wasn't sure what to make of the situation, or this Strykarr, and the longer she dallied, the more potential trouble that was going to be caused. The next thing she knew though, the man placed a hand at the back of her head and leaned in. Aisling was about to panic at the thought of what he might intend -- even after he'd assured her that his intentions weren't of that nature -- but then froze as he placed a kiss on her forehead. She stared at him in confusion at the gesture and bit her lip as her cheeks reddened slightly.

"I'm not sure I understand why you feel the need to know me more," Aisling spoke quietly as she averted her eyes somewhat. She'd seen his complextion beforehand and realised he must have been flustered himself, but she was having difficulty trying to figure out this man and his actions and words. He didn't know a thing about her, not even what her importance was to Manius. Though he would find out soon if they were caught.

"You are joking, right?" Aisling glanced back at the man as he suggested meeting back there in an hour, staring at him as though he'd suddenly grown an extra head, "When they find me, I won't even be allowed out of my Lord's house in the Compound for the rest of the day." A flare of irritation crossed her features as she spoke; this was what this man's actions ha cost her already. And he expected that she be able to meet with him again? "I am going to be scolded for leaving their sight as it is."
